What do news anchor Brian Williams, the Jackie Robinson West little league team, and the New England Patriots have in common...you guessed it...they're all cheaters. Momma said that cheaters never win, but as a large portion of society embraces the " if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying" theory, we are now forced to consider if momma was wrong. South In Ya' Mouth
Thursday Mar 12, 2015
Thursday Mar 12, 2015
When it comes to influencing pop culture, the South is the most misunderstood and underrepresented region in the U.S. Mass media outlets in the East and West Coast markets, dismiss the Southern opinion, labeling it as globally uninformed and ignorant, even when it comes to matters directly pertaining to the South. Russell Simmons talking about Selma; Few Southern personalities on major television programs. No mention of Southern intellectuals. But, despite attempts to be excluded from the larger conversation, the South still has something to say. Put some South in Ya' Mouth.

Black History Life
Thursday Feb 26, 2015
Thursday Feb 26, 2015
Discussion from this week's episode includes, does the traditional approach to Black History remain beneficial to the Black community or have the annual Black History programs and lectures gone stale? Is there an explanation for the apparent disconnect between elders of the African-American community and millennials as it relates to a communal understanding of what it means to be Black in America. Lastly, within the culture, should there be a major push for a more global approach to Black History, which exceeds celebrating the same central figures one month out of the year?

Mentorship - a personal, developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person.
When we talk about the issues facing today's youth, there's often a focus on the bad decisions that young people make, but rarely is the counsel being given to them questioned. Typically, children are reflections of the examples and role models that the see. So who’s giving them advice? Are they receiving quality advice? Is the person instructing them taking their best interest into account?
As we move into this generation of empowerment, we must ask ourselves if we are preparing to be mentors that will provide wide counsel and support to our youth in an attempt to lay the foundation for productive generations to come.

Where's GOD At?
Thursday Feb 05, 2015
Thursday Feb 05, 2015
Religion in the "western world" we live in, shows God, (or the supreme high being, depending on the religion) as an external entity, existing outside of us, that grants us blessings and lashes out punishment based on our actions and decisions. We are also taught that our connection to a MOST HIGH depends on our connection to a church leader (i.e. pastor, priest, rabbi). This perspective tends to differ greatly from common religions of the East which seem to emphasize more of an introspective, inner-spirit experience. As a result, could religion in the Eastern world be more effective at providing spiritual preservation to believers? Has Western religion been immersed in an ongoing cycle of faulty tradition and contradictions which lead to ultimate suppression of the people. Tune in for this thought provoking debate on where GOD lives?

Thursday Jan 29, 2015
In this episode, the fellas talk about Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch, who over the past few seasons, has flipped the script on how player interviews are conducted in the NFL. In what appears to be a personal protest against the associated sports media, Lynch's short-phrased, repetitive responses, have given journalists to little to write about, but his messages are sounding out strong. Does this mean that Beast Mode is being an obnoxious jerk, or are his actions valid and justifiable. Has the superstar actually empowered himself on the back of a larger machine designed to control him? Let's talk about it.

Treat Her Like A Lady
Thursday Jan 15, 2015
Thursday Jan 15, 2015
In a perfect follow-up to last week's episode on polygamy vs.monogamy, Tight and BG are back to talk about treating the ladies the right way. From today's most popular television shows, all the way down to day to day life, a picture is being painted of most men living as deadbeats, who abuse, misuse, and take advantage of the women in their lives. As a result, trust and respect have now disappeared from many male-female relationships, and the outlook for long lasting relationships grows dimmer every day. With so much of the world being focused on the man's inability live in true manhood, it is now imperative that all men reverse the course, and step into the divine responsibility of honoring and protecting the women around them.
